Match vs. St Josephs

Gorey Chess Club played a friendly match again the pupils of St. Josephs primary school in May. The young side are coached by the irrepressible Gorey club coach Manuel Gardenes and put up valiant resistance against their more experienced opponents. Ultimately age won out over youth by a 4-1 scoreline, but if the youngsters keep working at their game, the scoreline could look very, very different next time!
